Summary:
Coordinates and provides nursing care for patients and actively participates in patient/family education as needed. Administers medications accurately and performs treatments to assigned patients as needed. Must be competent in assessing mothers of all ages for behavior, motor skills, physiological, psychological norms, etc. Knowledgeable in antepartum/postpartum and newborn care.

•Manage the psychiatric care of patients, both from a medical and psychological perspective.
•Provide medication management, engage the patient in psychotherapeutic/skill building interventions
•Provide psychoeducation to the patient and family, and conduct crisis planning
•Coordinate medical consultations as needed
•Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.
