If you live in or are open to moving to Houston, TX, please submit your resume. Our client will aslo consider a SQL Server or Oracle Development DBA.
* Strong Development DBA experience
* 5 to 8 Years Sybase ASE 12.5, 15 Server DBA with Analysis and Reporting services experience
* Mandatory 5+ years of Sybase ASE 12.5, 15 experience
* Strong Performance Tuning
* Experience with Enterprise sized Databases
* Experience with Clustering
* Monitor multiple production servers
* Strong experience and a good working knowledge of real time trading systems
Responsibilities:
* Sybase ASE 12.5, 15 installation, configuration and maintenance
* Sybase ASE 15 version migration(s) and upgrades
* Sybase ASE 12.5, 15 performance tuning and troubleshooting
* Database backup, restore, consistency checking and repair
* Evaluating the current backup and recovery solutions and make recommendations for improving it
* Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
* Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.
