Our Houston, TX client is seeking a contract to possible hire IT Administrator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the end-users and ensuring delivery of consistent quality service across the organization. Assist the users with the efficient and effective use of desktop applications and systems.
Help Desk support of the problem resolution process and assist with the continuous improvement of support methods for on-site and remote employees to ensure uniform levels of technical support across the distributed organization.
Support of Active Directory as well as setup and administration of user accounts for all internal services (e-mail, dial-in, corporate intranet, etc.)
Point of contact for questions regarding technology including PCs, printers, copy machines, faxes machines, audio/visual equipment, etc.
Staff training and delivery of clear and concise support documentation.
Test new software for compatibility with the desktop and supported standard configurations.
Ensure incident reporting of significant and recurring problems in order to track the corrective action process for these issues.
Maintain standard configurations for the desktop /server environment.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proven skills supporting a distributed and mobile environment.
Technically competent in the following areas: MS Windows, MS Exchange, Microsoft Office and Cisco VPN.
