• 5 years experience on CNC Lathe operations, Manual lathe experience a plus
• Must have experience in METAL fabrication - REQUIRED
• Must be able to edit, program and operate a Mazak lathe machine with Mazatrol & Nexus controls
• Must be able to edit and program a HAAS machining center
• Must be able to make a part from a raw material to a finished part on a HAAS machining center
• Must have some experience operating a manual mill and a manual lathe
• Must have your own tools
• Incumbent is required to obtain a forklift license within 90 days of job acceptance. This will be obtained in-house.
• Courses in blueprint reading, shop mathematics, metal working and drafting or working experience may be required.
• Perform CNC operator duties by reading and following all Work Instructions for the product being produced
• Responsibility for producing the highest quality components at the highest levels of productivity
• Be a proactive team member: help others, work well with others; and participate positively in team/individual discussions
• Works closely with other departmental members and other company department personnel
• Accepts guidance from higher-level positions in department
• Work closely with CNC Specialist/Programmer and CNC Machinist; be aware of any deviations that may require special handling and/or communication
• Perform quality work as specified in the Workmanship Standards
• Must be able to read and understand Work Instructions and prints; follow directions; follow detail program coded list/steps; and conduct inspection on parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications
• Assure that jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment
• Work according to all company and industry related safety rules, policies and procedures
• Learn to identify product defects and completing appropriate documentation, relay any defects found to Lead Man and Supervisor
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly at all times
• Operate usual machinery including material handling equipment and deburr
• Work on advancing skills training to increase knowledge
* Clean Background REQUIRED
* Must pass drug screen and be US Work Eligible (will verify)
* Must be open to working weekends, extended hours, overtime
