Our La Porte, TX is seeking two contract AutoCAD Designer/Draftsman.
Summary:
Prepares basic design layout drawings, calculations (checked by engineer), detail drawings, and Bills of Materials in accordance with customer requirements and department policies and procedures. Works under the technical guidance of a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Prepares detail drawings using CAD, prepares Bills of Materials for the engineer for pump components and equipment to enable the complete manufacture of the pump package
Prepares mechanical design layouts of pump components and equipment
Reads and interprets drawings, procedures and customer requirements
Prepares calculations for components and equipment
Reviews FOP’s for customer specific information
Participates in administrative functions of the department
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide
Quality Management effort.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Three year’s college, equivalent education or experience.
Minimum five (5)years experience in the preparation of designs for rotating machinery and associated equipment or equivalent experience.
Solid computer skills and mechanical drafting skills using CAD
Solid communication skills; reading and writing.
