Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking an Applications Specialist.

Position Purpose:
Prepare complete and accurate technical and commercial proposals with the input and information, which the Sales Representative obtains from the customer. Receive and incorporate guidance from the Regional Sales Manager, Tendering Group Supervisor, and the Sales Engineers in preparation of large proposals.

Responsibilities:
Core proposal work will consist of the following:
Work with proprietary company software to log, create, and issue proposals to customers.
Select proper pump and support equipment.
Work extensively with other company inter-disciplinary groups to provide the best possible solution.
Review and comment to customer specifications considering both technical and commercial implications.
Prepare technical data sheets and other items required by the customer.
Solicit and evaluate sub-vendor proposals as required to ensure a complete and accurate technical and commercial proposal.
Establishes or obtains lead- time estimates from relevant manufacturing plant.
Other activities required during proposal and post proposal
Contribute to efforts in securing orders through intimate knowledge of large project specifications, proposals, and terms and conditions.
Ensures that all parties (customer, Sales Representative, and factory) are kept abreast of the progress of proposals/orders.
Communicates directly with the Sales Representative by informing him/her of all ongoing activities and all written and significant verbal correspondence.
Work extensively with other company inter-disciplinary groups in resolving customer’s problems.
Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of specifications and terms and conditions of company’s key accounts.
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
Knowledge of pumps, systems, applications, and hydraulics.
Proficient Math and excellent computer skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.(bilingual preferred not required)
Three year’s experience in comparable applications or engineering position preferred
